Confirmation 2008

Schedule

The confirmation class will meet in the big room under the cross each Sunday during 9:00 a.m. Sunday School.

Classes begin Sunday, March 30 and continue each Sunday through May 11.

On May 11 we will hold a regular class, then at 9:40 meet in Pastor Mike’s office with the elders. At that time those students who desire to make a profession of faith and join the church will do so. During the worship service immediately following, these students will make their public statements and be received into the membership. (I will explain all this to the students during the class.)

May 11 is Pentecost Sunday, the day the early Church (in the first century) set for new Christians to join the Church. We follow this tradition with joy!

Please read the enclosed page with the expectations I will have of each student. Please do not hesitate to call with any questions you may have about confirmation. My office number is 935-4556.

Thank you!
Pastor Mike

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified dead and buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
