Welcome to the Web home of Northern Lakes Community Church, a Presbyterian church on the west side of Traverse City, Michigan. Our pastor is Mike Riggins, and our church is located at 5444 Herkner Road, just south of North Long Lake Road.

WORSHIP TIMES: Tuesday Afternoon Worship begins at 2 pm at The Village at Bay Ridge, 3848 Silver Lake Rd., in the craft room, on the third floor just outside the central elevators Sunday Morning 8 am - Lake Service at Taylor Park (June - Aug) 10 am - Praise Worship Service 11:20 am - Sunday School for all ages (Sept - May) (Child Care provided throughout) SEE CALENDAR FOR: Small Groups Adult Ministries/Classes Youth Group activities ( Elementary Youth and Jr./Sr. High Youth) Vacation Bible School (K through 6th grade) Women's Fellowship Group Host/Hostess and Mentor Volunteers	Italian Dinner Theater The Preacher Creatures will be holding their annual Italian Dinner Theater Sunday, January 31st. Dinner times are 4 and 6:30. Cost is $15 per adult, $8 per child or $50 maximum for a family. The skits are very funny, the food is awesome and a lot of fun is had by all. This is the Preacher Creature’s biggest fundraiser of the year with proceeds going toward this summer’s mission trip to Hedgesville, West Virginia! Please come! We’d love to have you!
	Speaking of Dinner... Dinner of 8 begins in February. They are a wonderful way for our church family to get to know one another. Participants bring a dish to pass which makes it easy to entertain. The sign-up sheet is located on the bulletin board at church, and the time frame is 4 months. Groups include both couples and individuals, so anyone can sign up.
	Skills Bank Survey Northern Lakes is developing a skills bank for its adult and teen members to share their skills with the congregation and community at large. For example, are you a plumber, cook, photographer or financial consultant? Do you babysit? Would you help move furniture, build a house, or remodel a kitchen? Can you set up wireless computing in a home or business? If so, fill out this form, print it out and drop it in the offering basket or to webmaster Steve Kellman. The service can be for pay or free. Once we collect enough forms, we'll post the information on the website, and then when you need a service, you can consult our skills bank!

Children & Worship We offer the Children in Worship program to younger children during our worship services. Children are excused after the opening set of praise songs, when greeters lead them to their own room in our new building. There they learn how to approach Jesus Christ in worship. The experiential, thoroughly biblical Children & Worship program has nurtured the faith of many thousands of children over the course of its decades of use across the country. Volunteer opportunities for Children & Worship include storytelling, greeting and guiding the children into their new room, and crafting the materials used in the program.
